Photostudio going strong!

Hi Everyone!

Just an update for those who have been valued clients. We are still going strong and not going anywhere soon. Although we can not do weddings or events at this time, we are happily enjoying being a full time studio for rent for photoshoots and video shoots.

Urban Oasis!!

Hey All,

We had to share. This is one of our favorite weddings so far. They are all great, but the oasis created for this event we thought showed amazing ingenuity and it is so fun to see the final product!

We are still awaiting word on the seismic upgrades, but our diligent landlords are doing their best to work with the city. Stay tuned and wish them luck!!!!

As always, we appreciate all the support we have been getting throughout this time and are honored so many people want us to stay!

Seismic Madness!!!

Hey Everyone,

We have been in intense negotiations w/the city and our landlords working on an expansion plan and seismic upgrades. Although we are still unknown and probably not going to be functioning in 2011 as an event space, we are getting some rather encouraging news on our side.

Stay tuned and keep us in mind for 2012!!!

Open Houses, Weddings, Events and More...

It's been awhile since I have been able to post! I have been getting a little grief, so here I am. It has been a crazy 6 mos. Georgetown Studios has been up and running for about 6mos now! We have been having a great time in the space and have met so many new and wonderful people because of this opportunity.

We are loving Georgetown. The residents and local businesses have been very welcoming and friendly. Sabey Corporation have been great landlords and have contributed greatly to our success. Thank you Sabey.

Right after we opened, Rolex did a two day shoot with local climber phenomenon, Ed Viesturs. We shot a fun cookbook for Flying Apron Bakery and Sasquatch Books. Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom shot their feature article with super amazing photographer, Howard Petrella(www.petrellastudio.com). Look for that in about two weeks. And we have hosted many an open house for event planners, caterers and brides looking for a fun new venue! Last night we had a great open house with SK Wedding and Event Design(www.skweddingandeventdesign.com). She was amazing to work with. Super fun and completely on top of all details. Ravishing Radish did the catering(www.ravishingradish.com). I have come to absolutely adore these fun girls. Usnaps, Bamboo Beats, Linens by Alice, Sugar Rush and our own Pulp Catering were also in attendance.

This weekend we have one more huge blowout bash. Georgetown Studios Fire and Ice Artopia Binge! I hope to see you there! If not, look for fun photos and some sort of interesting update shortly!

Recession Yoga hits Georgetown Studios!!

Well, its been a crazy 6 weeks, but the studio kitchen is done, storage is built and I am already out of space! The most exciting thing is that we started "recession" yoga last week. It's a donation based class and Georgetown Yoga (www.georgetown-yoga.com) owner and instructor, Sandy McDonald, taught an all levels based Hatha yoga class. It was awesome! As we were doing sun salutations, the sun we streaming in through the windows, the sky was a brilliant blue and as the last of the fedex trucks race by to make their last deadline, focusing on the century old brick out the 16ft windows was a beautiful thing ... It was pretty great. We meet every Tuesday at 6pm. Please join us!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to Georgetown Studios! We are finally up and running and here is our first blog. For those of you who made it to our opening party on Valentine's Day, thank you! We had an amazing turnout. From the amount of lime vodka martinis, sliders and candy bags consumed, we figured we had about 400 people show up! So, thank you. It was a smashing success and we couldn't have done it with out all of you! I also want to give a huge plug to all of our vendors. City Catering Company, www.citycateringcompany.com, Pulp Catering www.pulpcatering.com, City DJ and Atomic Photobooth, www.atomicphotobooth.com and Gretchen Johnson, pompvisual@gmail.com(she did the incredible candy table!) for making this party the great event it was. For those of you who couldn't make it because we decided to do it on Valentine's Day and a holiday weekend, I promise you there will definitely be more. Please stay tuned!
